Rational Decision-Making in Education: Some Concerns

In recent years there has been a tendency to emphasize the use of economic analysis in decision-making. While such approaches have a number of distinct advantages, there do exist certain disadvantages of which the administrator should be aware. This article examines some of the organizational dysfunctions that can result from an over dependence on the "rational-economic" decision-making approach.
