The Use of Metaphor and Reflective Coaching in the Exploration of Principal Thinking: A Case Study of Principal Change

This article documents the results of an interpretive study on the process of principal thinking as the researcher and the principal engaged in Schön's notion of reflective coaching. Metaphors were used as a referent for the principal to make sense of changes he wished to make in his practices.
